The Farmwella Farm Internship Program

Launch your agribusiness career with Farmwella

Would you like to gain a global perspective on how to farm sustainably and profitably?

Are you ready to improve your agricultural skills beyond classroom wall?

Would you like to develop your managerial experience as farmer and earn a globally recognized certificate in the process?

Are you interested in access to funding opportunities for your farming enterprise?

Then, the Farmwella Farm Internship program is for you.

The Farmwella Farm Internship is a six-months full immersion training program for aspiring farmers who want to gain significant farming production experience and increase the chances of funding opportunities for their farming enterprises.

This program is for you if you want to:

  • Improve your agricultural skills beyond classroom wall,
  • Develop your managerial experience, and
  • Expand your conceptual understanding to practically manage, own, or operate a farm enterprise in the future.

In addition to the ‘on-farm’ training experience, participants also engage in a series of educational courses offered through Washington State University’s Agribusiness Masterclass.

Once we receive your application, Farmwella staff will set up a 15–20-minute intake phone call with you. Next, we will set up interviews with the candidates. The interview is an opportunity to know you and see if it might be a good fit for both parties. After interviews, we will make placement offers. At this point, applicants can choose to accept or decline an offer.

Once a placement has been accepted, Farmwella will confirm the agreement and on-farm start/end dates.

The majority of the program is focused on learning by doing through hands-on participation in the day-to-day operations at Farmwella farms. The participants will gain production mastery of five (5) high profitable crops in agri-business. Over time, the participants take on more responsibility in certain areas at the farm. These areas could include helping to manage people or processes, farm operation, field observation, record keeping, product deliveries, marketing, irrigation, and/or general farm maintenance.

In addition to the hands-on training at Farmwella Farms, the participants would benefit from the World-Class education of Washington State University’s Agribusiness Masterclass.

Participants will have the opportunity to earn monthly allowance while learning from qualified experts.
